Switcher

On the spur of the moment I switched to tumblr. My blog was going stale, because even if it was based on the excellent and super-simple Radiant framework I still had to mess around in Unix terminals and trying to understand Ruby on Rails if I wanted to do anything exciting like adding comments to posts or importing an external RSS feed.

Going stale is a bad thing for a blog so it was either “ditch it completely” (quit blogging) or switching to something simpler and more immediate.

I’ve had a tumblr account for a year, and I’ve been feeding it the RSS from smpl.se so at least some of my posts are already here. They don’t look quite as the should, and I’m not done tinkering with the theme yet but it’s good enough.

The old links don’t work any more but that doesn’t worry me much. It’s not like I have loads of traffic and it feels good to leave old stuff behind in a way.

If you want to see the old stuff, go to old.smpl.se

I haven’t quite decided what I’ll be posting here - guess I’ll make it up as I go along. I expect more of the unusual.

About
This is some sort of blog where I post stuff that catches my interest. Sometimes, in a burst of creativity, I post some stuff I've made myself, but lately I've been mostly putting pretty things here. Subscribe via RSS.
