Kids Design Laptops: The Laptop Club
Jason Kottke recently posted a link to The Laptop Club - interview by Rosecrans Baldwin. The Laptop Club is a research project where a group of 8-9 year old school-children are given the assignment to design and build laptops out of cardboard. The children start creating cool laptops that demonstrate their experiences with computers and the web.
A close study reveals keyboard buttons assigned to “Barbie.com,” “best friends” next to “friends,” “HP [Harry Potter] trivia,” and “werd games”…
