What camera should I get?

Decisions, decisions, decisions. I’ve decided to get a good digital camera and to start taking more pictures (maybe I’ll show some of them to you guys).

I’ve narrowed down my choices to a few cameras, and I’d love to hear your opinion. Just comment right here (on Facebook or Disqus if it’s working).

The best of the bunch is probably the GH2, and hands down best for video. But what should I film?

A small street-photo camera with a fixed and bright lens is appealing: I love street photography. Maybe the best solution is to go for the E-P1 and get the GH2 when it drops in price (it is really new)?

Instant gratification is important, too. I’ll keep you posted.

Panasonic Lumix GH2 with 14-140mm zoom

+ excellent image quality
+ excellent video
+ many lens choices (adapter to use my non-AF Nikon lenses)
+ in stores soon
+ filming stuff!
- very expensive + need a video tripod

(alternative: the previous model, the GH1 is dropping in price rapidly)

Fuji FinePix X100

+ beautiful
+ excellent image quality
+ Cartier-Bresson vibes
- not shipping yet
- fixed lens
- very expensive

Olympus E-P1 Pen with 20mm f1.7 pancake

+ nice looking
+ ok image quality
+ many lens choices
+ cheap!
- hard to find new
- old model

Ok, now comment here or on Facebook

Which of the cameras should I get? Wait for the X100? GH2 for a lot of money? E-P1 for less … then a GH2? My mind is pretty set on the GH2 at the moment. Should I go for it?
